We have started learning about what it means to refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, re-home and rot!
Our favourite song to sing about it, is Jack Jonsons '3Rs song' ... Click here to listen to the song on youtube.
Today we used some of our recycled materials we have been collecting to make our own fashion!!
We have been making masks out of fizzy drink bottles, and we have made Hope into a plastic bag princess!

Hi Room 5!
Thanks for the comment on our blog. The masks are VERY easy to make, and if you ask your teacher nicely, you might be able to make one too!
First you need an empty fizzy drink bottle.
Second you need to cut off the top and the bottom of the bottle. (Ask an adult to do this)
Thirdly you need to cut the middle so it's no longer joined.
Then you put in on your face and have the teacher mark where your eyes and nose are. The teacher then cuts out the gaps.
Once this is done you use a vivid to colour in - but make sure there is something on the table so you don't get vivid there.
Then you and wear it!!
Mrs Vercoes tips...
- make sure the bottle is washed or you get a very sticky face!
- Cut ear gaps at the sides and round the corners so it isn't sharp.
Hope you have fun making them,
From Room 2 - TPS
