Tuakana Teina time with room 5

This week we had buddy time in the library. Our buddies from room 5 helped us to read and decorate a poem about a robot. Here are some photos of the work we did with our buddy 

                                                   

Building a sandcastle- Michael and Wesley

Micheal and Wesley built a hole tunnel. They dug right to the bottom of the sandpit. They worked together as a team because they are friends.

Three men from Ghana came to our school and some of us got to dance on stage with them!!

I liked when the people came and showed us some cool stuff.

Science in a Van

This Morning we were very lucky to have Alan and Emily from

Science in a Van come and visit us.

We were learning about 'The wonderful world of bubbles'.

After the show, we did some writing and recorded us reading it.

We are good at ART!!!

We are really good at art in Room 2.

Today we had Mrs Manuyag come and teach us how to smudge when using pastels.

We did SUCH good work because we listened well and we didn't rush our work.

Baseball - with Room 1 and Room 2

This term for Kiwisport we are learning how to play Baseball.

We are learning how to stretch, throw, catch and strike a ball.

We had a competition to see how accurate we could throw

Terell was the most accurate at throwing and won a pair of sun glasses!!!

Tupac and Tūpeke

Mrs Kelly has a baby bunny at home called Tupac.

One day she brought him into our class instead of Tūpeke to see if we would notice...

and we did!

We did some writing about Tupac being Tūpeke's friend...

We have been learning how to use the technology in our class.

We now know how to take a screen shot on the iPad.

We can use a screen shot to show our learning, capture our writing and record progress in a game.
